Mounted Shooting in Cave Creek

Mounted shooting is a popular sport in the western town in Cave Creek, Arizona. The shooter has two 6-guns with semi-blanks and 12 balloons to pop in the shortest possible time. (This includes switching guns.) The coordination between horse and rider is critical.

Cowboy mounted shooting competitors will usually wear period old west clothing and use old style saddles and tack. You can contact the Arizona Cowboy Mounted Shooters Association for more information.

Antelope Ground Squirrel Eats Seeds in Cave Creek

A Cave Creek wild ground squirrel named Chip eats sunflower seeds from a frisbee. (It's the size of a chipmunk, but actually a western groundsquirrel.)

It is cool that Cave Creek has some many cool animals!

Rattlesnake on the Patio in Cave Creek

From YouTube member creekercouncil: Imagine my wife's surprise when she stepped onto the pation to find this creature snuggled up next to the door. Be sured to hear the sound. So after taking the video I coaxed him into an old knapsack and relocated him a couple of miles away. (Once in the dark sack, he was very calm.)

Plenty of companies are around that will come to your house or business and remove snakes for you. If you just wait a few minutes the snake will move on.
