Cave Creek Current Stream Flow Conditions - The Flood Control District of Maricopa County Arizona

The Flood Control District of Maricopa County has 150 water-level gages on streams, washes, channels and dams throughout the Maricopa County region, measuring water depth and transmitting that data in real time. Using a rating relationship between depth and discharge, flow can be estimated from depth readings on streams.

Flash Floods are destructive, life-threatening events. Cave Creek residents can do their own part to protect themselves, their family and their property during a flood event. The District encourages all residents to:

* follow safety guidelines during storms and floods, especially when near flooded washes and riverbeds,
* adhere to regulations when building or maintaining property in a floodplain, and
* purchase flood insurance for their property.
